A New Donkey

Jose the donkey has joined the other equines at NER today. NER Staff drove about 5 hours to pick him up.

His owner was no longer able to keep him, as Jose was causing trouble with his cows and if a new home could not be found for him, he would have to be put to sleep.
We are glad that Jose is here and will have many more years of happiness. He is a rather large donkey standing at over 13 hands.

We stopped and visited with Snowdrift on the way back to the ranch. She's "alive" as the vet put it, you can see from the picture that she is looking better.
