The well fundraiser has reached the $2,020 mark thanks to your generosity! The pump has been paid for, now we just need to raise the $3,300 for the actual drilling of the well. Please do what you can to help, click here.
On Friday Tacoma's adoptive mommy came out to pick up her lovely boy. It was raining, and snowing in the foothills, but that didn't dampen their spirits. Just look at how happy they are together!
Tacoma was more than happy to hop into the trailer to see what grand adventures lie ahead for him. He said one quick last "Goodbye" to the rescue before getting back to work on his yummy treats. He is such a special boy and we will definitely miss him, he has such a big heart.
This morning the new Phoenix at the rescue looked around with big eyes. It was overcast this morning, but was a beautiful morning anyway.
We were unofficially closed this morning, but Paula's mommy had made arrangements to come adopt her new baby. Look at how happy they are together!
Paula took one last look at her temporary home before loading right up. Jason was concerned that Paula wouldn't want to get into the trailer, so he stayed far away doing morning chores. His fears were quite unfounded, she got right in. This is probably the last adoption that will take place at the old rescue location.
Jason got to work starting on tearing down the buildings for the move. The lattice work came off the bottom of the office first.
Tawnee was leading Sam to his pen and he looked on with wonder at the strange happenings. Humans really can exhibit the oddest of behavior.

After the office lattice was carefully removed it was time to take off the lattice on the tack room.
The tack room and office are 1 step closer to being ready to move. It's hard to believe that everything will be gone and moved soon, but it is so exciting. We can't thank you enough for making this possible. We have huge plans for the new rescue and we hope this small office will be temporary as we build an adoption center.
The panels are starting to be unbolted in preparation for the big move...
Jason and Tawnee worked hard at unbolting, stacking them up on the Hay Wagon, and moving them to a central location.
Then, it started raining. And raining. And then it rained some more. The wind was blowing fiercely, all around it immediately stopped all outdoor activity.
Phoenix, the amazing rehab that is a permanent resident, watched the rain fall. No doubt he is getting tired of all the rain and mud. We keep telling him that all the rain will make the spring last longer and the grass grow taller.
